3 weeks old...

Well, today my baby boy is 3 weeks old! I cannot believe how fast this time is going by. It's so hard too, because I want six weeks to pass, so I can hopefully see if my blood pressure will go back to normal, but I want to stop time and cherish every minute with my little man. Jakob is becoming so alert, staying up more during the day and smiling alot more. He also is learning to grasp his toys, like the little star in the picture, he got ahold of it a couple of times. As you can see we're dealing with some baby acne right now. I'm afraid it's probably my doing. One time after Jakobs bath I put lotion on him, and wiped the extra lotion on his face...I didn't know that was a no-no. The next day his face started breaking out. My mom said Head and Shoulders shampoo makes it go away, so I tried putting some of that on his face this morning. Oh well, it'll go away eventually. Can you believe how much older he's looking already? Yesterday I went to my first O.B. appointment since having Jake. The doctor said my incision is doing good. You can barely even see it anymore. I am down to 135 lbs. which is 9 lbs. more than I weighed before I got pregnant. (and much better than the 173 I weighed before I had Jake) She also told me to go down to one blood pressure pill a day, because my numbers have been so low lately. That is (hopefully) good news. I did have a little episode yesterday, and it actually had nothing to do with BP, I just felt really really bad. I think I kinda just overdid it yesterday, going to the doctor, then to Jakes doctor to see his gamma (he weighs 9 lbs. 9 oz. now!) then we took him to Jackson Gaurd to meet all of daddys friends. I think I just did alot and need to take it easy today. Well, that's what's going on with us. Love you all. -Me
