Phase two...

I went to the doctors office today. I've been kinda worried because while on the birth control I have been cramping and bleeding alot. I've just been through alot of dissapointing cycles with my other doctor when I was on clomid so I keep expecting something to pop up. The ultra sound technician checked me today and I had 15 small follicles on each ovary. She was very happy with the way everything looked. Normally one follicle would mature more than all the others and that one would be released and be the egg. Tomorrow I start a medication called Letrozole which causes the body to produce extra fsh- (follicle stimulating hormone) and to prepare the body to make extra eggs. I will take the Letrozole for 5 days taking the last pill on tuesday. Wednesday I have another appointment in Pensacola and they'll check me again and if everything goes all right I will start my injections sometime after that. I was happy to read that the Letrozole has little to no side effects- (i.e. hot flashes, mood swings, etc.) unlike clomid. I will write more on wednesday...
