On Saturday we went to Destin for Jakob's first trip to Bass Pro Shop (can you hear the angels singing?). I guess his Nana and Papa wanted to start him early. While Papa was upstairs checking out the big toys (aka guns and bows) me and Nana took Jakob hat shopping. He tried on a couple of hats, as you can see from the pictures, but there were so many to choose from! He finally settled on his little khaki hat that says "deer fear me" His nana thought it was so funny, and I knew his dad would appreciate it. (Jeremy's friend Ryan has already built a shooting house for them to take Jakob and Ryan's little boy Tristan hunting-Tristan is one year old) Really, Jakob slept through the entire trip. We ate at cracker barrell, then shopped for a while and he did so good. He even slept through our pictures and us putting a bunch of different hats on his head. What a good sport.

Oh yeah, don't you love how in 60 something degree weather we all bundle up? That's how you can tell the tourists from the homefolk in Destin. Those of us who live around here are freezing once the temp gets under 70 degrees!
He is soooo cute. My dad bought all the kids stuff from bass pro back in July when they were here. The boys got hats and they all got shirts. That is where Jakob belongs, doesn't he?
I love bass pro shop and i am not really that outdoorsy.I think the "deer fear me" hat was the best choice.Does jeremy hunt a lot?btw...i love the pics of you and jessi...hopefully I lose the weight that quick after a c-section!

Jeremy does hunt alot.(I say that I'm a hunting widow this time of year) He won't get to as much this year because he is in his last semester of school, and has a big project that he's working on. Hopefully the times that he does go he'll get a deer. I've lost the baby weight, still trying to tighten everything back up though :) You know how it is...
Oh tooo cute!! I would have had the hardest time picking a hat too! And I know what ya mean about getting all bundled up..I am freezing too, but it is a bit colder here now. Love y'all!!
