I did it!!!

Well, Wednesday night I started giving myself the shots of follistim. This is the medication to mature the eggs. I was sooo nervous that night. The needle on these shots is so thin and only about one inch long. You don't even feel the needle when it goes in. Once you pull the needle out it stings a little bit, but it goes away quickly. I knew that once I understood what to expect that it wouldn't be that bad to give myself this shot. Now the hcg shot is another story. That one is really scary. I went to the doctor again today and they did more blood work and ultrasounds and said everything looks good, and my labs were good so I just need to keep doing the shot every night until I go back on Monday. I guess they're just waiting for those eggs to get big enough then I'll get the hcg shot and 48 hours later we'll have the artificial insemination done. It's getting very close! I'm trying very hard not to get my hopes up too much. I also don't want to limit God though. I just have to say he's in control and I'm hopeful :) We'll see. I'll write again on Monday.
